entrevue

traurig

................................................................................................

Sometimes, someone meet someone. Find this person infinitive exciting and fascinating, but has to realize, that it will be for the first but also for the last time.

sorrowful

I'm very skeptical about american movies, mostly they are crap. The best example for this theory is Sin City, gruesome.
But sometimes there is a pearl under those commerce movies:Charly an the chocolate factory

Btw, very Important:
Happy Birthday Esther!

Pass auf was du sagst : watch your mouth

................................................................................................

Is germany dominated by fear of terror or does someone tries to hype it?

There are three young "arabian-looking" guys on a bus stop in Hamburg and talking to each other while waiting for the bus. Another one, supposably an Egyptian, who didn't belong to them, alleged that he had caught some words and according to SpiegelOnline also the phrase "Tomorrow we will face Allah as heros".
Three days later the 1.100 policemen locked the city and checked everyone who wanted to leave the city. As far as I know, the action lasted a few hours and in vain. On friday afternoon two of the wanted persons reported them self to the police. The thrid one has been "seized" by the police. No 24 hours later, all of them had been released as the suspicion has been confirmed.
At least they raised the fear, great! But before someone gets me wrong, I don't accuse the three guys. No, I accuse the other three: legislative, judiciary and executive authority.

When I was driving to work on friday morning, I was listening to Deutschlandradio Kultur, where they broadcasted the press conference of Hamburgs superintendent. He hedged a lot to justify the action. Anyway, the shut off of Hamburg in the night, for a few hours. What for? How big is the chance to catch the wanted people?

For me, this was nothing else than stoking fears.....

afraid?

die monotonie des yeah, yeah, yeah : the monotony of the Yeah, yeah, yeah

................................................................................................

Does it really has to be, that we have to copy every crap that comes from the west? Comrades, in my opinion, we should quit with the monotony of the Yeah, yeah, yeah and all that stuff!" - Walter Ulbrich -

Why does some (german) people, who phone with other people from USA, have to acknowlege every sentence with "yeeaaah"?

Ich, der Neunmalklug : me, the wise guy

Er: Was heisste denn 'struggle'
[Stille]
Ich: .. also 'people' ist immer Plural
[Stille]
[Stille]
[Stille]

................................................................................................

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure if you will get the punch line...
it's because translate a story about diffculties in translations is pretty difficult ;-)

The wallpaper on my PC in the office shows a picture from Anti-Flag. The picture has a pitchblack background with a monochrom earthmap and writing in white letters which reads "One people - One struggle". As I prefer to programm on my iBook, the picture is most of the time visible. Anyway, today my boss came over an looked at the picture.
Boss: What does 'struggle' mean?
Me: Something like fate.
[he is musing]
Me: respectively fight
Boss: hey, if you show it you got to know what it means
Me: Sure, I know what it means, but it's a bit hard for me to explain!
[he is musing]
Boss: Ah, that's it. 'One man - one fate'
Me: More like 'One human race - one fate'. There is no singular of people. //Sorry, I know that human race is not quite correct, but as I said before, it's difficult. Suggestions are welcome :)
[silence]
Me: .... well, people is always plural
[silence]
[silence]
[silence]
he stands there vor quite a while... I continued working.
Somehow I felt very strange and uncomfortable.

Tag Am Meer : A day at the sea

VERSPROCHEN.

Noch ein paar Zahlen vom Tag.
17 Stunden unterwegs, 14 davon Auto gefahren.
2 x getankt, Durchschnittsverbrauch lag bei ca. 7.6 Liter/100 Km
1200 Km dürften es wohl gewesen sein.
Gekauft: 1 Apple Monitor, 1 Stoffratte
................................................................................................

Today I bought this nice monitor. And I bought it in Buxtehude, which is about 500 km away from me. And as it is close to the coast, we had to visit the Baltic Sea.... Feets in the Water, eavesdrop some old ladays ( why does old ladies always love those yound doctors?) and hang around in Timmendorfer Strand, barefeet. What makes me a bit sad (even more than I already are) is, that I blewed it to meet Birte. But as exhausted as I was, the meeting would have ended up lame. But I will come to Hannover only for you Birte... I PROMISE!

Some Numbers:
17 Hours en route, 14 hours there of driving
2 times refuled, average consumption 7.6 litres/100km
1200km driven
Bought: 1 Apple Monitor, 1 stuffed Rat
and thousand times thank you to Christian for taking part at this trip

Ok, das is ne sehr billige Ausrede.

................................................................................................

Recently someone told me, that there are some misspellings in my blog. Well, I'm really ashamed for that, but when I write my post, than it's quite possible, that I miss or forget a key.

But aren't it the goof-ups which makes life interessting?

Ok, that's a really lame excuse.
I will correct the shorter post, is that ok Carmen?

Cemetaries

Never expected what I got
In a million years never would have thought
That I could have been taught all I've been
You've been, I've been taught
Guess I can't run away from that
In time I'll be tugging holding pulling stretching on
What I created caring bleeding hoping seeing all
All I wanted in you
Hope I make it through
This ride happens all the time
But this time it's mine
I've paid in full to be so blind
This time it's mine.
But somehow if feel this debt
I deserve everything I get
Cause I knew the crime
Of taking shelter in your mind.
So take what we get
Lay here with me
The sideways moonsets into the trees
You're safe with me.

Dann meint er so: "Wisst ihr was hier steht was OUT ist?

................................................................................................

Preface: Our office is nearly permanently acusticaly polluted by an ugly radio station called "Antenne Bayern" and/or by some non-business chats of my colleagues, which are mostly pretty dull. That#s why I started to bring my own music. So I bought an iPod and I have nearly any time one the right headphone in my ear. so much for the background.

Today our vice manager brought the german newspaper BILD ("intellectually undemanding" would be a huge understatement) and read in it. After a while he shouted to in the room. "Hey do you know what Out: Colleagues with a headphone in the ear". As all were behind me, I could see them, but I felt that nearly every one was looking at me. Anyway, I was hoping that he will say it again personaly to me, but unfortunately he did not. But I would have replied something like this: "First, I really don't care if I'm 'IN' or not and second, to be 'OUT' for such a brainless newspaper has some kind of charme to me". But as I said before, he didn't replied it to me personaly again.... shortly after that I was talking about that with colleague which whom I'm more familiar and he said, that this high interllectual person even pointed his with finger on me as he was reading...

now.. back to write some job applications.

PS: Sorry for my poor english.. I'm a bit to exhausted I guess.
